BIOGRAPHY
Mar Omega is an artist / entertainer, currently based out of Eastern Pennsylvania, with artistic talents of many kinds. His work has been published in magazines and comic books as well as broadcast on network and cable television.
Omega currently works as a steadicam contractor for NBC on MEGYN KELLY TODAY, and at CNBC on Jim Cramer's MAD MONEY. Before that, he was a graphics operator / designer at CBS 42 Austin KEYE. Omega worked as a camera operator and steadicam assistant (among several other positions) at MSNBC and CNBC in New York and New Jersey. He was one of the camera operators for Jim Cramer's cameo in the IRON MAN film by Marvel Studios.
For several years, Mar held several careers at once, including Side Show Performer. While working for news networks and media outlets by day, he was a sideshow performer by night. He was trained by long-time friend and 20+ year circus and side show veteran, Danson. They worked together for over two years as a traveling two-man ten-in-one show.
Mar eventually moved and began his own one man sideshow, SIDESHOW of PSYCHOSIS, which would eventually become a multi-character stage play of sideshow arts. Mar Omega performed at venues such as the Starland Ballroom, Murphy's Third Rail, Hard Rock Cafe, Albion / Bat Cave, QXT and several venues in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Asbury Park and bars in New Jersey.
After a performance on Halloween of 2006, Mar took on an apprentice, Lady Kyra, and ultimately courted and then married her on October 30 of 2007.
In early 2008, the Omegas opened a new company called Mar Omega UNLIMITED. Mar and Kyra built a studio where they can create carpentry, molds, latex monsters and prosthetics and other props for films and LARP. Mar Omega also owns and operates the SIDESHOW OF PSYCHOSIS, a theatrical sideshow event with films and a comic book.
