The latest update to MarOmega.com is a stand-alone music player courtesy of www.playlist.com. As stated on the page, the lyrics by artists on the playlist do not necessarily express the views of Mar Omega or the company, and the playlist's purpose on Maromega.com is for optional entertainment / background audio.
The playlist was originally launched for www.MySpace.com/maromega, but MySpace eventually rejected Playlist.com players for "copyright infringement". Playlist.com does not claim copyright to any of the music linked to their players and they do not offer music download. Playlist.com searches the internet for music on several websites. If those websites do not have permission to use the songs, that is that website's problem. Ultimately, websites without permission lose the privilage to use the song anyway, so there is no copyright issue. MySpace simply wants its users to use the MySpace playlist (which is inferior because available songs are limited to music profiles).
So now here is the option to listen to the songs that I like while you view the all-new MarOmega.com 7.0! The link to the player can be found at the top of most pages, just under the navigation bar.
