Here is what the new button is all about.
As you all know Kyra and I have been very busy over the past 2 years. We have been working so hard that we never had the time or money to enjoy a wedding reception, a honeymoon, or even a simple party. The reception we tried to have at my parents house in Texas met a horrible ice storm and only a few relatives and friends were able to make it. We know some of you are still wondering why it is you were never invited to the actual wedding and why it was was kept a secret until after it was said and done. I haven't had the time to explain it before, but I will make the time to explain it now.
Kyra's mom had been ill from a mysterious affliction for a long time and three days after we had become engaged she was committed to the hospital. She had a large growth that wrapped around her intestines and uterus and was cutting off the blood supply to her vital organs. Emergency surgery was performed. The doctors told us they almost lost her on the table 2 times and that she was in critical condition. They allowed us to see her after she had received a few blood transfusions. She didn't look good and doctors told us it was a slim chance she would recover, and an even smaller chance that the growth would not return if she did. In a frantic rush we applied for our marriage license and were married as soon as we could be. Kyra's mom wouldn't have to worry about Kyra's happiness or who would take care of her when she was gone. We think it may have been our wedding that gave her the strength to fight, because soon after she was out of the hospital and the doctors told us that the growth would not return.
You all may wonder why now, two years later we are explaining all of this. Truth is, we are getting ready for yet another exciting turn in our lives and we need your support to complete it. Kyra and I have found a beautiful house that is well within our capabilities to afford... However, we simply don't have the cash on hand for the down payment and so we ask for your help! Most couples have large weddings and are showered with gifts, both large and small, from several family members and friends. We have never asked for anything or had the time to invite anyone to a party for that purpose, and in that, we have missed out on our chance. But with this new milestone, we hope our friends and family will pitch in with a small contribution. Any little bit will help in anyway you can!

If you would rather just give us a small donation, you can click on the NEW HOUSE FUND link. If everyone were to donate $10 (give or take) or buy a print, we would have enough money combined with what we have saved to have the down payment and probably afford a moving truck as well!
